Clark Contractors wishes to congratulate The Challenge Program on an outstanding year of impact in our region.
In 2019,
- 20 students have received employment opportunities through internships, co–ops, or full–time/part–time jobs
- Over 300 students entered our Student of the Year Competition, telling TCP how the Program being in their high school helped to spark a positive change within them
- Thousands of students from schools across Western PA were also provided opportunities to participate in well–over 100 workforce development activities including:
- worksite tours
- classroom presentations regarding specific industry information
- project and work–based learning experiences
Clark Contractors is proud to share our partnership with The Challenge Program in Bedford County.
The Challenge Program, Inc. contributes to workforce and economic development by connecting business and education to achieve a common objective: the development of a skilled and motivated future workforce. Their mission is to build sustainable Business/Education partnerships while introducing students to careers in their community.
“Clark Contractors partnered with the Challenge Program and Everett High School because we felt it was necessary to look into our county’s future and prepare students to be able to have a good start in the workforce. The program provides and opportunity for students to learn good employee traits and start on the right foot in obtaining a position they are interested in and enthused about.” – Clifton Clark, President
Clark Contractors, Inc. joins The Challenge Program at a Major Corporate Sponsor level, contributing $50,000 in 2019. This major gift will give TCP access to local students at Everett High School.
We are excited to be partnering with TCP, and look forward to seeing their work in coordinating the opportunities Everett students will gain from this sponsorship.
